This website has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics, and it makes no requests to anyone else: its fonts and images are served from here.
- Your reading settings — text size, typeface, theme, and the place you last read — are kept in your own browser, and never sent to us.

One small cookie,
dq_reader, remembers the translation you chose and whether you read word by word, so the next surah opens the same way. It is set only when you change one of those, and holds nothing else. - The contact form sets a security cookie to protect the form from forgery. What you write, with your name and email address, is emailed to us and used only to reply to you. This website keeps no copy of it.
- Like any website, the server that hosts it may keep brief technical logs — such as the address a request came from, and when — to keep the site running and secure.
The Daily Quran app

Daily Quran is a Qur'an reading app published by i9Tech. This policy covers
the app on Android (com.i9tech.qurandaily) and iOS.
In short
Daily Quran does not collect, store or share any personal information. It has no account, no advertising, no analytics and no crash reporting, and on Android it does not even have permission to use the internet. Everything you do in the app stays on your phone.
What the app keeps on your phone
To work, the app saves the following in its own private storage on your device:
- your place in the Qur'an, and which ayat you have read
- your reading plan and its progress
- how long you have read each day, and your streak
- your favourite ayat
- your settings: translation, text size, theme, reminder times and the like
None of this is sent anywhere. The developer cannot see it. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in your phone's settings, deletes all of it.
If you use your phone's own backup (Android Backup or iCloud), that backup may include the app's data. Backups are made and kept by your phone's provider, under your account and their privacy policy; the developer has no access to them.
Permissions
Every permission the app asks for serves reminders, and none is asked for until you have chosen a reminder time. Declining any of them only makes reminders less punctual; the rest of the app works the same.
- Notifications — to show your reminders.
- Alarms and reminders (exact alarms) — so a reminder arrives at the time you chose.
- Run at startup — to set your reminders again after your phone restarts.
- Vibration — for the reminder itself.
The app may also send you to your phone's battery settings, where you can choose to let it run unrestricted so your phone does not cancel reminders. That is a setting you change yourself; the app asks for no permission to do it.
Text-to-speech
If you ask the app to read a translation aloud, the text is passed to the text-to-speech engine installed on your phone (for example, Google's or Samsung's). That engine is part of your phone, not of Daily Quran, and works under its own provider's terms.
Children
The app collects no information from anyone, children included.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with a new effective date.
